Hong
Kong chess player Brian DEW forged steadily ahead of GMs & IMs in bagging
the silver medal of 2nd board in the 37th Chess Olympiad.
Brian scored 7 out of 9 games in the 13-round team tournament held during
May 20 to June 4 and won the medal by narrow percentage points.
Brian was undefeated after warming up with 4 drawn games.
By the same result, Brian attained FIDE Master title.
It
is the second time Hong Kong achieved individual performance medal.
Dating back to 1992, it was an Olympiad in Manila where Xian YANG won the
silver medal for 1st board.
