The Hong Kong Chess Club is open to any member of the general public in Hong Kong. It provides its members not only with the chance of playing social and competition chess in Hong Kong, but also, through the Club's membership of the Hong Kong Chess Federation, which is a member of F.I.D.E. (the governing body of world chess), it allows them the opportunity of representing Hong Kong in international competitions. (The Federation is a representative organisation whose membership comprises chess clubs in Hong Kong .) |
